SediRack Online was designed to perform audits in mining plant thickeners, to monitor the operation and efficiency of the water recovery process and determine the necessary corrections for optimal operation.  

 

The instrument continuously receives samples of flocculated material, directly from the feedwell discharge, to perform sedimentation experiments and obtain the settling velocity. 

Currently, to establish the thickener behavior, a sampling has to be made and then analyze the material in a metallurgy laboratory, which means long periods of time for final results to be obtained.

 

SediRack Online allows to determine in 15 minutes or less the optimal operative conditions of an industrial thickener, maximizing the water recovery and flocculant savings. It also allows permanent remote monitoring of interest variables such as feed dilution, settling velocity and flocculant selection and dosage.
